Alexandre was a world class tumbler, making it to finals in the World Tumbling Championship in Australia. He has been coaching since he was 14 years old. In 2011, Alexandre became Coach of the Brazilian National Team. In 2015, He was a coach in the World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow.

One of his star students on the Brazilian National Team was Flavia Saraiva. Flavia earned more than 15 medals in the FIG World Cup Challenge and a Bronze medal in the Pan-American Games in Toronto. She also qualified for the Women's Individual all-around finals at Rio 2016 and received 5th place on balance beam.

Keli Kitaura

Keli started Gymnastics in Brazil when she was 5 years old. She started coaching at the age of 17 and was a part of Brazil's National Team. Notable gymnasts that Keli has coached are Rebecca Andrade, Julie Kim, Thauany Araujo, and Milema Theodoro.

In the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Rebecca Andrade qualified third for the woman's individual all-around final and finished eleventh ahead of the rest of the Brazil Team participants.

Anibal attended the 2018 Youth Olympic Games and the 2019 Pan-American Games as a judge.



Gerald is an age group instructor and USAIGC Coach. In 2015, he was chosen instructor of the year for his positive attitude, commitment to his students, love of sports, and hard work. Because of his exceptional behavior going above and beyond in teaching the children, he stands out.

Michael is an instructor and helps with the USAGIGC Team. Having graduated from Northumbria University Law School in England in 2016, he is currently studying to take the New York bar exam. USAIGC Head Coach


Meredith is one of our USAIGC Bronze and a recreational coaches. She started gymnastics at our sister gym in Mahwah, NJ. While there, she competed all the way up to level 9. In her junior year of high school, she qualified for Nationals.

USAIGC Team Assistant Coach

Efim is the head coach of our USAG Boys Team. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Physical Culture Academics from Ukraine. He was also a Junior National Team Coach in Israel. Now he is a full time instructor who teaches Boys Team and Age Group Classes.

Kayla Hanley

Kayla is one of our coaches here at U.S. Gym. Kayla has been working here since 2010. She has experience with gymnastics from a young age and was a cheerleader in high school. Kayla is a USAIGC Coach and instructs recreational classes as well. 



L.J. is a Preschool/Age Group/Special Program instructor. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. She was a competitive gymnast for 8 years and reached a national level of competition. Now she teaches here part time.

Irina is a recreational coach and holds a Bachelor's in Sports Medicine and a Master's in Artistic Gymnastics in Russia. She has experience training as a gymnast from 1972 to 1983 and coaching 10 years in Miami.

Monica is one of our age group class instructors She received a master's degree in physical education in Romania where she taught for 8 years. Now, she is a valued member of our team.

Liz Erazo

Liz is an recreational class instructor. She is currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology at NJIT. She has 11 years of experience studying dance and plans to work in the field of IT.

Allison has been an instructor at US Gym since 2009 teaching beginner level classes. She was actively involved in gymnastics growing up and competed at level 5 in high school. She attended Rutgers University for undergraduate and graduate school where she also began coaching recreational gymnastics. Allison currently works as a Spanish teacher in the Westwood Regional school district.

  Tahjay was involved in many different activities besides of gymnastics in high school including theater, football, track and wrestling. His dream is to one day become a commercial Airline Pilot.

Jenika is the Business Operations Manager here at U.S. Gym. She herself trained at this gym, competing all the way up to Level 10/Elite. She continued her participation in sports in college; competing as an NCAA Spring Board Diver. Jenika graduated from Smith College with an Engineering Degree and a minor in Psychology.

Director of Operations


Edidania has been working here at U.S. Gym Leonia since March 2013 as an Office Customer Service Specialist. Some of her daily responsibilities include preparing attendance for the coaches, assisting customers with their questions, concerns, and registration, among other tasks.

Office Supervisor


Patrick is an Office Supervisor here at U.S. Gym. It is his goal to improve the gym through the office system. He enjoys sports and intends to finish his education before pursuing his career.
